Hallam FM Games 2016
Hallam FM Games 2016

Through our partnership with SIV, we were able to this year work closely with Hallam FM and their sponsors to put on an event for 400 KS1 pupils across the city of Sheffield. Working closely with the other School Sport Partnerships within the city we were able to plan and deliver the event on behalf of Hallam FM that saw lots of 5 and 6 year olds visit the EIS, home of Jess Ennis, and take part in lots of different activities.

The schools competed throughout the day earning points at different stations, linked to the Olympics and they even got to watch an inspirational Olympic video from Rio 2016.

Not only did the children take part in lots of different sports they were able to receive tshirts, medals and even a goody bag from SIV which included water bottles and free vouchers for sessions outside of school! We have since received amazing feedback from schools taking part and to top it all off an Arches SSP School were crowned the winners. Pye Bank CE school won the trophy and received £200 to spend at sports direct.

Arches Schools that attended on the day were:

Brightside Nursery Infants
Broomhill Infants
Hartley Brook Primary School
Pye Bank CE Primary School
Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School
St Catherine's Catholic Academy
St Mary's CE Academy
Walkley Primary School
