Arches Schools Tumble in to County Finals
Arches Schools Tumble in to County Finals

We were straight back in to the competition pathways for the city after the half term break and had our KS2 Key Steps Gymnastics Festival at Notre Dame Catholic High School. With the help of fantastic leaders from Sheffield Girls High School a number of Arches SSP Schools competed in both the foundation and advanced level of competition for the Year 3/4 and the Year 5/6 categories.

The afternoon was a lot of fun with some nerves as pupils competed in front of the judges on the floor and also the vault. The competition came to a close with Shooters Grove, Malin Bridge and Sacred Heart all having teams progress through to the South Yorkshire School Games Finals on the 16th March.

A huge thank you should go to Sheffield Girls High, Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School, Links School Sport Partnership and the teachers and coaches who trained the pupils and brought them along on the day. Some schools even came to compete on a school INSET day and a special thank you should go to these.
