As swimming is part of the national curriculum for KS2 it is an area of importance for all Primary Schools within the Arches School Sport Partnership.
Working in alliance with the Sheffield Swimming Service as well as a number of other private providers the Arches SSP aims to provide guidance where possible on swimming and opportunities that are available for children to take part in swimming related activities. All children should be able to complete 25m in a variety of strokes by the time they reach Secondary School according to the current national curriculum guidance. This is difficult in many areas and therefore the Arches SSP will provide help and support to try and get schools to achieve this target.
