The Arches hold many major events every year and the biggest and most important event is the Arches Partnership Games where children from 41 primary schools in Sheffield all come to the EISS to compete in a mini Olympics style event. The Arches also hosts an annual Dance performance where dancers from across the city rehearse for months prior in order to present their dances to the public and each other. The dance performance is currently held at Octagon Centre at Sheffield University.
The Girls Conference is also another annual event held by the Arches, this is where girls from school years 9 and 10 are invited to take part in numerous activities including, hair and beauty, dance and Kickboxing. Many professional sports stars are present at all of our events including Nicola Minichello (world bob sled champion), Sophie Mei (belly dancer) and many more.
The Arches relies strongly on committed volunteers to make these events such a success if you think you could join our team and volunteer to help run these events then we would like to hear from you. Some of the roles you will be taking on will be stewarding issuing tickets. Making sure performers get on stage in time etc.
